I started Kinfield with the hope of inspiring happier, healthier lives through the great outdoors. It began with a camping trip to Yosemite, when I realized I was packing many of the same products I remembered from my childhood in Minnesota. I looked for clean alternatives that I could trust, but I couldn’t find anything I liked. Instead of giving up, I dove in—and Kinfield was born.
We're here for the 5 A.M. hikers, the rosé-in-the-park enthusiasts, and everyone in between. Our mission is to inspire a happier, healthier world by empowering you to live your best life outside.
We travel the world in search of the best plant-based ingredients to power our formulas—because efficacy is everything, and safety is non-negotiable. We formulate without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, or synthetic fragrances, and our formulas are proudly vegan, cruelty-free, and Leaping Bunny certified. We use research-backed methods in our labs to ensure our products actually deliver. (It's why we put our repellent through third-party efficacy testing before signing off on the formula.)

Sustainability is at the heart of Kinfield—it's literally why we exist
. We're choosing to forgo unnecessary packaging and shipping materials, and instead ship waste-free. To do that, we ship all orders in reusable produce bags, and hope you'll forgive the occasional bottle that gets scratched in transit.
We are a proud member of 1% for the Planet, and choose to support organizations that align with our mission to enable outdoor access and responsible environmental stewardship. We offset our carbon footprint and the footprint of all team travel.
We choose to pay more for ingredients that are sustainably sourced. We have a recycling program to help you recycle your finished beauty and personal care packaging (from any brand!), and a recycling directory of other brands who offer recycling programs as well.
